Remodeling takes a regular space, and transforms it to a spectacular space . Total Home Remodeling has the pleasure of doing this everyday! We take a space that functions OK, and change it in to a space that fits your needs and desires. That is where we started with this traditional kitchen space.

Before the remodel, this home had some modern stylish updates, such as subway tile. It was still missing that modern feel that spoke to the homeowner's style. They envisioned a whole new feel of modern melded with warm classic details. Tired of the old world look of yesteryear, we worked together to cast a vision for a clean lined space, with rustic appeal.  They wanted to keep the original wood flooring, but wanted to do without the heaviness of large amounts of wood cabinets. The original floor plan suited them just fine. To conserve on budget, we keep the cabinets in place, removing unwanted pieces, but not relocating major appliances.

As demo began the dark black and brown granite was removed from the island.  The double range was just what the homeowner desired for a cook top, so it is a keeper. We removed the upper cabniets in exchange for wooden slat open shelving. With the upper cabinetry removed, we left space for backsplash tile to go to the ceiling.

We went darker on the previous painted white cabinets, that lined the sink area. For those we choose a light shade of gray.

Here you can see the side wet bar cabinet area transformation. Wooden counters replaced the darker black granite counter from before. This once under utilized  counter, became a unique wood counter with a wet bar.

We look forward to showing you the final finished space soon! Keep in touch for the final reveal!
